Reflection of the Day - 9/29/2008

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:8 KJV
* * * * *
Further Thoughts For Reflection:
Double minded
Two faced.
Two spirited.
Two souled.
Vacillating in opinion or purpose.
Kike a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind
Like an adulterous woman
making love now to her husband
and later to her lover.
As an adulterous man
living now with his wife and, when it suits his desires,
living or spending his strength with another woman.
Is this perhaps the picture of ultimate selfishness?
Self choosing which appearance of lordship will be active or seen now
with another lordship exhibited later;
but in reality the only lordship in control is "self."
See James 1:5-7 for the loss caused by this person, and the spiritual reality being two souled reveals.
See James 4:1-10 for the harsh consequences, paid individually and corporately, when this person(s) is left untended; the harsh labels applied to such a person; and the costly cure even under grace. No cheap grace thrown about here.
