Reflection of the Day - 10/19/2008

There is in the presence of God an absolute and compelling quality, which, for the time at least, allays doubt and demands obedience.

FURTHER THOUGHTS FOR REFLECTION:
If I fly away, in obedience or disobedience, God is still there.
His hand of protection, His hand of discipline,
betray to me that He is present.
Let me turn O Lord, let me turn into thy presence.
Open yourself to the presence of God.
Do not let your flesh turn from it.
Do not let your eyes shut it out.
Do not let numbness steal your awareness of the Divine Presence.
Feel its power in the depths of your soul.
Where is it allaying your doubt(s)?
In this moment describe your feelings toward obedience?
In what does He ask you to walk, to obey?
