This is where the control of the Spirit comes into play,
and we MUST yield

Sometimes the truth leads us to what is hurting us.  Sometimes it leads us to what we need to change.  At other times it leads us to what we need to do next in a relationship.  At still other times it leads us to what our weaknesses or limitations are, such as what we are not ready to deal with.  But whatever the turth is, it is our friend.  It is also where God lives.

When the Spirit leads us against what our church seems to have taught, when our family does not agree with it or suggests something else, or excuses what the Spirit reveals to us, we must yield to the Spirit.  I have seen many young people kept in bondage to their very visible sins, the falls they despised, and the depression repeating them brings, all because what the Spirit has revealed about themselves - a change they need to make, a next step in a relationship, a weakness or limitation He wants to address - seems contray to parental stance, is played down by "spiritual" people, or creates a fear of the consequences or a fear of opposition.  Sadly, some never yield to the Spirit and their lives remain lonely or destroyed.
