St. Sylvestre Day - 12/31/2009

Today's Mental Image:

St. Sylvester's Day In Time Square!

WHAT IS ST. SYLVESTER'S DAY:
well...it's either the day Granny finally kills
that "bad ole puddy tat" for trying to eat her Tweety bird - or

it's New Years Eve and was named for Pope Sylvester (314-335 AD)
who was a pope under Emporer Constantine when Christianity became the state religion.

NEW YEARS EVE
A Call To Slay Your Dragons!
-

St. Sylvester I is  reputed to have slain a dragon, not by the sword as St. George is often depicted, but by the power of the name of Christ.

You Too Can Slay Your Dragons
By The Power Of The Name Of Christ

CAN YOU THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO START THE NEW YEAR?
