How appropriate for us Northern Christians - a reminder that until Christ's coming the light of day was becoming shorter and shorter - being overcome by the gathering darkness.
THEN JESUS CAME!
And the light was rekindled spreading outward into the darkness.
Shortening the time of darkness until the Day will come and darkness will be no more.

COME LORD JESUS COME!
Come Lord! Come Quickly!
