Today God Is Doing The Unbelievable

 

Habakkuk 1:5-11

“Look at the nations and watch—                  
and be utterly amazed.                                
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,                          
even if you were told.

There has never been a time when God is not doing the unbelievable. That includes today.

1.   We need to pray.

 

"Lord open my eyes that I might see!"

 

2.   Where should we look?

Look at the nations.

 

3.   What will we see?

 

I have raised up at ruthless and impetuous people.
They are a feared and dreaded people;
they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor.
They all come intent on violence.
They mock national leaders and scoff at all governments.
They are guilty people, whose own strength is their god. 

 

4.   And who might this be?

The radical Islamics come to mind. Maybe others are being raised up to join them. The growing influence of Iran comes to mind and their reach is certainly spreading along with that of their friends the North Koreans.

5.   Do I have this from God?

Well, maybe not about Iran and North Korea. China could be a candidate to if it turns aggressive. The United States could even become a candidate given it's increasingly aggressive involvement in the world, including economic and political bullying and it increasing anti-Christ and Christians standards, culture, and politics.

6.   But this I know!

God is doing something in our days.                     

He is raising up a ruthless and impetuous people.

Lord open our eyes that we might see!
