The evangelist says,

The pastor/teacher says,
The pastor/teacher says,
"Here is the way, walk ye in it."
The prophet says,
The prophet says,
"THUS SAYS THE LORD!!"
He can say nothing else.

What is your emotional reaction to the evangelist's message?
What is your emotional reaction to the pastor/teacher's message?
What is your emotional reaction to the prophet's message?
At this point in your spiritual life which would you rather listen to?
At this point in your spiritual life what do you "honestly" need to hear?

Picture yourself sitting quietly and reverently before God.
Ask him to show you which message he is trying to speak to you right now.
Who does he send as his messenger?
The evangelist?
The pastor/teacher?
The prophet?

Ask Him why.
Remember do not argue with him.
Often we think we need one kind of message
but God, in his wisdom and love, is trying to get us
to accept the message
he knows will be best for you
right now and
for your future.
