A STATEMENT OF FAITH
"We have received what we deserved from the Lord ..."
Zechariah told the people about their past in order to illustrate their errors in the present. Paul tells us that one of the reasons for scriptures is to show us how God acted in the past so that we could escape the same errors.
Speaking through Zechariah God asks, "Did not my decrees overtake your forefathers?" But God recounts an amazing incident. When the people realized that their troubles were what God had decreed, they repented and said, "We have received what we deserved from the Lord..."
TODAY LET US HUMBLE OURSELVES
LET THIS BE OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH:
We Have Received What We Deserved ...
"We have received what we deserved from the Lord of Heaven's Armies. He has done what he waid he would do." Zechariah 1:6
